Mind Body Medicine

Zanjabee Difference - Blending Eastern & Western Knowledge with Technology

During the one hour Zanjabee Ayurveda intake, we listen to your problems as you experience them, in your own words. All factors – diet, lifestyle, sleep, bowel movement and stressors – that affect your quality of life and health, are assessed in great detail. The questionnaire and Ayurvedic pulse reading provide vital clues to your unique bodytype. Our Ayurvedic expert uses all these inputs to develop a customized Ayurveda diet, lifestyle and herb plan to address your needs. The weekly practitioner team meetings at Zanjabee ensure collaboration between Eastern wisdom and modern medicine technology, to deliver the least invasive and most effective evidence-based solutions for you.

An Ayurvedic consult at Zanjabee not only helps you understand yourself better, but also the energies and elemental disposition of people around you. Every visit increasingly empowers you to strike the right balance between your unique core energies and energies of the nature around. We are here to collaborate with you in your journey towards wholesome and long lasting health.

Ayurveda Facilities at Zanjabee

Zanjabee is the perfect healing space that underscores and emphasizes our central philosophy of health and wellness, in synergy with nature. The naturally lit open space exudes warmth and welcome. The water view from our huge glass windows and the geese waddling in the water impart a sense of calm and well-being, even before you meet our health experts. Some of our clients have freely expressed this feeling, sharing that they don’t mind even a long wait in our waiting area, because they find the space meditative.

The state of the art kitchen at Zanjabee is the perfect place for our Ayurveda expert to educate and inform clients about the healing power of spices, about eating right without compromising on taste, about home detox and naturally cleansing diets, about home remedies – all through a variety of cooking and educational workshops. These workshops are participatory and usually end with a sampling of healthy tasty food. Zanjabee also offers some premier herbal supplements, natural remedies and personal care items. Our hair oil and anti-aging vitality enhancing multi-herb jam are a big hit with our clients.

Barbara Cleary with Perimenopause Disease says:

“I have been suffering with hot flashes and night sweats for more than a year. I have been awake more hours at night than I have been asleep. I tried several over the counter remedies without success and desperately wanted to avoid hormone replacement therapy if possible. I attended an inservice at Winchester Hospital about complementary therapies. I made a consultation appointment with Dr. Shah, the Ayurveda practitioner at Zanjabee. Dr. Shah formulated a personalized plan for me to follow. To my extreme amazement and delight I was hot flash and night sweat free 8 days after starting my regimen. I do not completely understand how it works but it does…”

I felt calm, comfortable & confident in going forward. After my first Acupuncture, I was finally able to sleep as well as walk so much better. The herbs have been a huge help as well. Dr. Ali also recommended four sessions of Massage Therapy. The combination of Acupuncture, Massage Therapy and Ayurvedic herbs has been amazing. I feel like I have my life back. I never thought that I would finally feel good again until I came to Zanjabee…”

Kathleen Chronic Throat Pain and Congestion says:

“My experience at Zanjabee has been nothing less than outstanding. Dr. Ali and staff have and continue, to provide a friendly and healing environment. Eastern and Western options have always been made available, and explained to me. Dr. Ali has educated me on so much! She has reviewed anti-inflammatory diets and how certain foods can be just as good as medicine; she looked at rebuilding my immune system; took a deeper look at emotional effects that take a toll on the body (i.e. illness) and how to achieve relief via natural means, i.e. meditative practices for healing, simplicity of strolls in nature, calming teas, etc…”
